Fun Day

We all have to admit that this school year has been a challenge. I will say that our resilience has been amazing. With everyone putting in great effort, I feel that it is time to reward out students. We are going to have a Fun Day for each cohort on June 1st and 2nd. The students will have the last two periods to participate in events such as kickball, ultimate frisbee, a dunk tank, listening to music, cornhole, whiffle ball. We are also going to provide students with a fresh Philly Soft Pretzel and Rita's Water Ice will be here for students to purchase delicious water ice and treats. Students are also encouraged to bring beach towels and water bottles. This is for students only and guests will not be permitted to attend.

As the school year draws to a close, we are excited to begin returning to a level of normalcy. To this end, schools are in the process of planning end of year events for our students such as field day/fun day.

In the past, events such as these have been supported by volunteers for which we are grateful. If there is a need for volunteers, schools will determine the number needed to support their events. To remain consistent with our health and safety plan, we will require that masks be worn, irrespective of vaccination status. This is our current practice which will continue through the end of the school year.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to the remaining weeks of the school year.

Employee of the Month

Without further ado, our Employee of the Month for April is.......... Mr. Raibley. Congratulations, you have impressed colleagues and administration with your willingness to go above and beyond for our students and your colleagues. Keep up the great work!

Raiderbots Continued Success

Raiderbots had another great weekend at the PA State Championship. They crushed their old high score of 365 with an new high record of 419.

This score pushed them into a finish of 3rd in the state. ( Note that the 1st and 2nd place teams are independent club teams, making Coatesville the highest placed high school team in the state of Pennsylvania !!! )

Because our Raiderbots have done so well this year, they have been invited to the Maryland Tech Invitational on July 31st! The Maryland Tech Invitational is a prestigious event where the top 32 teams in the world gather for a weekend of competition.

It has been such a fun season and we are looking forward to the MTI Event in July. We look forward to growing the program next year. Our goal is to field two Coatesville High School Robotics teams. Please be on the lookout next school year to join our awesome team.
